A Joyful Celebration of Music at Father Leduc Catholic School
At Father Leduc, music is more than just a subject—it’s an experience that brings learning to life! From Kindergarten through Grade 6, our vibrant music program, led by the passionate Mrs. Ramsay (K–3) and the inspiring Mrs. Lobkowicz (4–6), invites students to explore the world of music in a fun, interactive, and faith-filled environment.
Rooted in the Orff approach—a playful, hands-on method of music education—our students learn by doing. Through singing, movement, games, and instrument play, children discover the building blocks of rhythm and melody while growing in creativity and confidence. Our classroom comes alive with the sounds of xylophones, glockenspiels, Boomwhackers®, metallophones, and a wide variety of percussion instruments. In Grades 3 and 4, students dive even deeper, exploring bucket drumming and learning to play the recorder.
But the magic of our music program goes far beyond notes and beats. Students develop essential life skills like teamwork, coordination, critical thinking, and creative expression—all while deepening their connection to faith through music that celebrates God’s love.
At Father Leduc, we believe the arts are a powerful way to engage hearts, minds, and spirits. Come see how music inspires our students to shine!
