Music

Our music program at Father Leduc Catholic School, for both K-3 taught by Mrs. Ramsay and 4-6 taught by Mrs. Lobkowicz, is designed to be fun, interactive, and hands-on, all while being rooted in our faith. Using the Orff foundational methodology, students learn the fundamentals of music through engaging games, singing, instrument play, and movement.

Students explore rhythm and melody with Orff instruments like xylophones, metallophones, and glockenspiels, as well as Boomwhackers® and various non-pitched instruments. In grades 3 and 4, they also dive into bucket drumming and recorder playing.

This hands-on approach not only teaches musical concepts but also helps develop body awareness, critical thinking, positive risk-taking, and hand-eye coordination, all while fostering a deeper connection to their faith.
