The Owie Project

This Lent, we are excited to support The Owie Project, a special initiative started by one of our own students, Elias Martin, a grade 7 student at Father Leduc.
Elias began this project when he was younger after spending time at the Stollery Children’s Hospital. He noticed that after medical procedures, kids were given plain brown band-aids, which felt boring and unexciting. He knew that something as simple as a fun, colorful band-aid—like Spider-Man, Disney characters, or unicorns—could make a tough day a little brighter.
Every year for his birthday, Elias donates hundreds of character band-aids to the Stollery, and this year, we want to help make his donation bigger than ever!
We are collecting kids’ character band-aids, and a donation bin will be set up outside the office for anyone who would like to contribute.
Let’s come together as a school community and help Elias bring some extra smiles to kids at the Stollery!
